ASQ March 3 Performance RescheduledFebruary 27, 2017
A note from the Arianna String Quartet:
Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Arianna Quartet has decided to reschedule our Touhill performance of the Three Brahms Quartets to Wednesday, March 22nd, at 8:00 PM, with our pre-concert talk beginning at 7:10 PM. Any tickets purchased for the former date of March 3rd will be honored on March 22nd. If you are unable to attend on March 22nd, your ticket price will be refunded with our apologies.
A serious family medical emergency had caused a temporary suspension of the work of the Arianna Quartet, and made it impossible to be where we were most needed and also keep to our concert series schedule. As this situation has fortunately now improved and stabilized, we can now look forward to sharing an evening entirely devoted to the beautiful music of Brahms with our audience on March 22nd.
For those in our audience who would still like to attend an event on March 3rd, John McGrosso will present an Evening of Bach as a free event beginning at 8 PM. This will be a unique opportunity for a behind-the-scenes exploration of Bach’s music for solo violin, music regarded to be among the most expressive, personal, and powerful ever written. In the course of the performance, John will share musical insights gained from many years of experience with these great works. We are hoping to see you at one or both of these upcoming performances.
Our First Monday Series on March 6th in the Common Room of KWMU will take place as scheduled, and we hope you will join us there at 7:30 PM for a performance presentation and conversation about Brahms’ fascinating compositions for string quartet.
With many thanks and deep appreciation for our St. Louis audience,
John, Julia, Joanna, and Kurt
The Arianna String Quartet
