Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Richard Marx returns to St. Louis for the first time since 2013 for a romantic night of acoustic love songs. Over the span of 30 years, Marx has sold over 30 million records on the strength of mega-hits like “Endless Summer Nights,” “Right Here Waiting,” and “At the Beginning.” This unique and intimate night is perfect for couples and music aficionados who appreciate a well-crafted, heart-tugging song.
Marx’s newest album is inspired by one of the most iconic pop albums of his generation. Repeat Offender Revisited, released to celebrate the 30th anniversary of 1989’s chart-topping Repeat Offender, is a new collection of studio, live, and acoustic versions of songs from his second album.
Fresh off his self-titled debut, which earned him a Grammy award nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance, Marx returned with a vengeance on Repeat Offender. His second album went quadruple platinum and catapulted Marx to legendary status as the premier voice in love songs and ballads.
A Chicago native, Marx has also written and produced smash hits for artists like NSYNC, Josh Groban, and Keith Urban. He also received the Grammy award for Song of the Year for Luther Vandross’ “Dance with My Father.”
For those who fell in love in the 80s and 90s while listening to Marx as the soundtrack to their romance, or for those who just fell in love with his unshakably catchy melodies and perfectly crafted songs, this will be a must-attend event. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to see Marx’s new interpretations of old classics in a stripped-down, intimate setting is sure to be memorable. Join us for date night or if you just want to dig on some of the great songwriting of the golden age of ballads.
