St. Louis Jazz Orchestra: A Night of Count Basie

The Count Basie Orchestra was one of the leading big bands of the swing era, and songs including “One O’clock Jump,” “Jumpin’ at the Woodside” and “April in Paris” made Count Basie famous worldwide.

Basie led from his piano – but his true instrument was his band.
